Air Duct Cleaning
Air Duct Cleaning
Breath Clean Air
In homes and businesses, all sorts of tiny air pollutants make their way inside and can cause all kinds of health problems. Unfortunately, the dark, damp climate of these ducts also makes them a good breeding ground for bacteria, mold, fungi, and many other harmful allergens. Particles tend to get stuck to the sides of the vent over time, and this can lead to the growth of air pollutants that cause respiratory issues to the people who live or work there. In addition to normal accumulations of dust and dirt found in all homes with air ducts, there are several other factors that can increase the need for regular HVAC system cleaning:
Reason to Clean your Air Ducts
- pets
- occupants with allergies or asthma
- cigarette or cigar smoke
- water contamination or damage to the home or HVAC system
- home renovation or remodeling projects
Some occupants are more sensitive to these contaminants than others. Allergy and asthma sufferers, as well as young children and the elderly tend to be more susceptible to the types of poor indoor air quality that air duct cleaning can help address.

Maintenance Recommendations for Health & Safety
We suggest cleaning your dryer vent once per year and your air ducts every three to five years. If you hire us to clean your air ducts, we’ll leave them sparkling clean and you’ll be breathing easy!
- First, we clean inside the returns, grill, and air handler.
- Next, we’ll check your heating and/or cooling system’s filtration and replace the filter or clean as necessary.
- After that, the return covers will be cleaned.
- Finally, we clean out the air ducts themselves with our exclusive duct-master. By running an mechanical brush hose through the duct line from beginning to end,
that contacts the duct walls, loosening any contaminant. We then retract the hose while it recovers all the loosened contaminants, leaving the duct walls decontaminated.
NOTE: In addition, we also offer a sanitizing process for your ducts and vents which uses an environmentally-friendly sanitizer often used in hospitals and nursing homes. This sanitizing process helps to minimize the growth of bacteria and other contaminants in your duct systems. We highly recommend this treatment to anyone with allergies or when you’re moving into a previously-owned home. As an added bonus, sanitizing the vents helps get rid of any unpleasant odors in there.
